My daughter has been waiting for this to happen all summer!!!! She made a few cards last year and loved that I uploaded them for her. She has had to learn about cancer at a way too young age when she watched my cousin, who was like an aunt to her, battle cancer. I hate that my 7 year old knows what Komen is and is aware of all the pink ribbons. I hate that she has had to bare the loss of someone close to her and watch that person deteriorate from a vibrant, beautiful young woman, into a crippled, pain withered person. Rachel has already participated in a few breast cancer walks and is always ready to support someone who is battling this horrible disease.
Look for more of her cards this month. She was ticked when her dad called her for bed. She knew there were 3 to make today and she only got to make 1 :).

I am ecstatic that she chose my challenge to work on first! She did a great job with the lightening boy, and I love that she colored and fussy cut! So sad that she has an understanding of cancer, too. It's not fair...I'm glad that you can both enjoy this project together, and I'm grateful for your support. Can't wait to see more of her uploads through the month. Thank you.

Rachel did a great job! I like the use of the big alphabet here. I'm kinda ticked myself that I need to get to bed soon too! I didn't even get to make one card today because of this crazy work, sleep & work some more routine!! But that's why I'm sooo glad I have more than a month to make some of these cards. :)
