This whole card started with a piece of ribbon. I took a piece of wire edged cream colored ribbon. I ran the ribbon through my paper crimper to give it the pleated look. I thought with the cream colored ribbon, I need to try and make it vintage. The other day I was cleaning up after a rummage sale and there was a crocheted doily that no one wanted because it had a stain in the corner. I took it because I knew it had so much potential. I cut out one of the circles. I took a paper doily and tea stained it to match the aged look of the crocheted circle. I then used Mojo251 sketch for the card. I then added coffee filter flowers, leaves, pearls and a butterfly that was stamped using the butterfly from a newly released MFP set called Garden Art. I made this for my friend Penny who lost her husband this last week. From my husband's and my peer group in our town, this is the third husband to die in less than 2 months. Just another reminder to me of how short life can be.
