First a quick story……..I’m not really one to go to baseball games, BUT as a young child I went to a few. You see my dad was a policeman and would work at some of the games, baseball, football, you name it. This one time we were at a baseball game, the Denver Bears as they were called way back when, were playing. My dad tells me, “the next ball that guy hits is going to be a foul ball, it’s going to come to me, I’m going to catch and give it to you.” Well, being a young girl I had to go potty, couldn’t wait for the guy to hit the ball. When I returned I ask my dad “so, where’s the ball? “ Dad goes on “well, he hit the foul ball and it came right at me……I had to run to get away from it! It was going so fast I might have broken my hand!” ….well I didn’t get a ball that night, but I got something better, a story and a night out with dad………..NOW my card….
Say, anyone need a ride? Curt is all loaded up with “baseball gear” and his bus is “almost” ready to go just needs a little air in the tires. hehe Been awhile since he took a “road” trip so he is plenty excited. Don’t worry about the cost, Curt is feeling generous and is offering a “free ride” today. SO give him a call, space is limited. Confused???? Go here for the story.
Another hand drawn scene, colored with copics. For the border, I colored the edges with a red sharpie, then added the white acrylic paint squares and a little doodling after. Put this all on a blue AC card.
Well, off to do my routine grocery shopping, will return laterÂ…Â….TFL :0)

I'm glad you mentioned the tires, I thought they looked a little flat! Curt needs to get rid of some of his load, or those tires are gonna burst! I love that Curt is ready to roll, even more, I love where he's put his ball cap!
Cathy, I love your story about the ball game and your Dad! I've got a few of them too, like when he showed up at my First Communion in uniform, thank goodness he wasn't coming to arrest someone!

I just love your creativity and your attention to detail, Cathy! I mean, you even have weeds in the crack on the sidewalk, and a vanity plate for Curt's ride!

I'm glad to at last have time to catch up with Curt and his adventures - and yours too . I hope Curt has plenty of room in that bus -I can see it getting as full as the African taxi buses if he's picking up all the tea-potters.

Good ol' Curt is ready to roll as always. What a cute, cute card and a great story from your childhood. You made me smile. I love how each week you involve Curt in such a special way.

Curt can I sit in the front seat with you? (I get bus sick unless I sit in the front) Maybe they'll let me drive. Curt you always make me smile and make my heart glad. I think you will have the same effect on Officer Strauser.

Curt is very fashionable in his snazzy card. I'm not a baseball fan either. Someone, who has since moved away - thank God, used to take us to a ball game every August. I dreaded it all summer - I would have rather had root canal- the fog (couldn't see), the bugs, the clammy seats - does it sound like I have fond memories?
