Cathy challenged us to make a card with complementary colors. A sweet and very talented SCS friend is recovering from surgery and I needed a get well card for her.
Just picked up this Inkadinkado stamp yesterday...stamped in Memento London Fog on white CS, colored with Copics and paper pieced the pincushion. Highlighted with white gel pen, sponged lightly and matted with a Nestie frame (oh how I miss barely banana). PC generated the sentiment, scored and faux stitched. Mounted all on an embossed piece of BG indie bloom, wrapped with some yellow gingham and Wisteria ruffled ribbon. Added the buttons and faux stiched them with gel pen. Added a little sparkle to the pins & needles with my Spica clear pen.
If you're peeking, I hope that you like this...you know who you are! Thanks so much for looking. Have a peaceful day.

What a cute idea! I love the play on words. Excellent in colors and just an all around beautiful card! Love the way you piled the buttons too! So pretty and cute!

What a darling image! It so reminds me of my grandma who sewed - with her tomato coloured pin cushion! I love your choice of colours and your wonderful play on words! What a wonderful card - I'm sure your friend will be greatly cheered! Good for you, Marie!
