Joanne gave the CCEE Stampers challenge this week to make a card for someone with a new home/apt. I didnt have a proper image so I went to Deena Perreault's Etsy site, A Creative Need, and found a digital image that was just what I needed.
I was going for peeling paint on my shutters and used crackled paint but it isn't peeling. Maybe I should have sanded it a bit. Yes, this is from inside the house but I guess I wanted a cozy house but in need of a paint job look.

I LOVE how the shutters look!!! I can see me using this technique. If you wanted a vintage look you could distress it with tea dye distress ink...yum. And come to think of it you could go for the look like the house George Bailey bought in "It's A Wonderful Life. You could use the crack glass technique on the window.....lol This is adorable for a new house or apartment-very creative and simply divine. Thanks for letting me have a little fun with you about the cracked glass!!!!

Totally cool scene, Miss Brenda! The crackle paint is perfect. One of my faves to use and I almost never use it on cards. Must remember this! tfs

Cracked paint looks coooool Ms. Benzi. I love the shutters, plant and diecuts. Did you see that little itty bitty miniature camera sticking out of zee plant? Yep, it's me spyin' on ya again. So, be GOOD! Don't hurt yourself in that rocking chair or fall over and CAN'T GET UP! Keep safe my lil' ole lady friend.

Definitely a comfy warm home here. I love the way the paint looks and the fun "wallpaper". Such a wonderful way to congratulate someone on their new home. It's a beautiful card.

Ah Benzi you are so clever to use the crackle technique on the shutters!! I'm so excited to see you use my image on your cozy, wonderful new home card! I can see myself sitting contentedly gazing out that window while mindlessly picking at that peeling paint on the shutters! hugz
