this is my first tin! I have to refine it a little, but I'm pretty pleased with it. I 'dyed' the top with Barely Banana craft ink so it didn't remain white

Betsy - cutting around the latch was a work in progress - I got a scrap piece of copy paper & traced around it with a pencil lightly to get the overall pattern & started to cut my bg paper & had to keep putting it against the tin & keep cutting with my snips to match it. I then traced the pattern on the scrap so I can do it again without all the work!

Oh this is really great! I love it! I was going to ask the same thing - where did you get the tin. Thanks for posting it! I was just looking over all your other pieces of art. You do really nice work!
Have a stamp-happy day!

This is just lovely!! Thanks for the tip on where to buy these tins!!! I've searched everywhere for them and everyone is sold out or they are on back order. I found one at my local scrapbook store and bought it so that I could get a head start on designing mine for a class. When you covered the lid with the craft ink, did you have to heat set it? Also, did you mod podge the outside to preserve it?
