The challenge today was to bring on the buttons. My card started with three little brownish buttons. I built the rest of the card around them. My youngest son is competing at a music solo and ensemble festival this afternoon. A copy of his sheet music was sitting by my desk. At the bottom of the music it said that it had to be destroyed after the competition. He has his piece memorized, so I decided to "Destroy" it early. I stained it with a tea bag and heated it with my heat gun. Then I burned the edges. I added a music quote#printed using my computer and tea stained# a Tim Holtz clock image #also tea stained# lace and an old MFP french horn image. I decided to make an easel card. Two of the buttons ended up on the top of the card and the other as the stopper of the easel. I am giving this card to my son's music teacher to thank her for all the hard work she has put in helping these students get ready for today's competition. For many, including my son, this is their first time at competition. I get to accompany him so it should be a fun time for all!!
