This is my card for Sonja, who is our Destination Station this week. Sonja is a fellow SCSer who can use some encouragement. Read here for more info: Forums at Splitcoaststampers . I originally named this file 'Goodbye 2011' because like many, I am so glad it's behind us. However, in the spirit of personal growth, I heard it was better to move towards something rather than run away from something else! So, in that spirit . . . helllllllllloooooooooo 2012!!!!!!!!
It's funny how you think you know what a colour is, until you search through your hundreds of sheets of beautiful paper to forget what the colour really is supposed to look like! Anyway, here is my angelic, heart-filled, floral teal card for Sonja!
Sentiment was a freebie from TLCreations (thank you!) and my angelic bear was a freebie from a progressive challenge quite awhile ago. Combined the images in my page layout program, cut out with fiskars scissors. Coloured with prismacolour pencils and OMS to blend. Edged all layers with (I forget which colours of ink!) Layered everythinhg as shown.
The 2 hearts have 5 prongs on the back so they're a bit tricky. Pushed them into the same pc of cs as my 2nd layer and attached with glue. Flowers were white - I sprayed a mixture of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist to get something teal-like and attached with glue. Added stickles to the angel wings and the cloud. tfl and I hope this brings some cheer to Sonja!

I love this idea of pushing 2011 out the door!! Onto greener pastures and hopefully better things! The thoughtfulness of this card really shows, Charlene! I love the cute bear angel, at first I though the hearts were earrings, they are a wonderful embellishment!
I have to agree with you on the color thing. All along I have been thinking teal as the color on the ducks. Depends on what shade we mean.

Aw, what a totally sweet angel you found. I'm with you on being glad to see the back of last year, I just hope this year actually is better! I'm sure Sonja will feel the promise of a good year to come when she gets this.
