While I tend to forget about them, I do love stencils. Only wish I'd taken the easy route and just pulled one out instead of making my own, lol. But I wanted a big empty ornament I could put snowflakes in so I used the Nativity ornament and made a sort of stencil and mask so I could use the frame only. I also used two sizes of Spellbinders squares as a stencil to draw the frame around the ornament.
After making the ornament stencil and mask, I stamped the snowflakes inside w/ the 3 colors of Distress inks then used my "stencil" again to lightly sponge around the inside edge of the ornament. Then did the frame around it using the square dies as stencils. It's attached to a red postage stamp square.
The two banners were sponged w/ the blue & green inks, then stamped w/ the snowflakes in white and white embossed. I die cut them w/ the banner dies and resized them to make them longer.
The sentiment was cut w/ the smallest mega oval and the white embossed frame was cut w/ a ribbon tag. I didn't want to use a ribbon so I put the little punch out parts back in. The white bg was white embossed using the polka dot bg. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.
p.s. this is also for the DRS Challenge today to use dots! We'd love for you to link up your dot creation on the DRS blog. DRS images are not necessary to join in and check out the goodies and DT cards!

I've never stamped in white and then white embossed. The results are fabulous, Julie!! This card is awesome!
