Hey, Lydia what a fantastic challenge today...I even chose not to eat so I could finish my card before I head out the door for work...
I've used Adobe many times to create pixellated pictures for my sons. It seemed the perfect foil today to offer encouragement to my eldest son as he faces some character building choices. I found one of my favorite pictures of him in my iPhoto library and squared it up. Notice how the background looks like a pieced quilt? It's actually the hood of an old car. I dug out some brass photo corners and made the frame. Next it was figuring out how to incorporate the focus images into the card. I stamped the eye doctor thingy with VersaMark and then the quote in VersaColor Black on top. Then a clear embossing powder. So if you focus, really focus, you will see the eye instrument. White rub-ons in a mixed font for the name and a bit of argyle trim paper compliments the other Basic Grey Marjolaine patterns.
I've gotta run...need to write a note in this card and get it delivered...I know my son has perfect vision and often times it's hindsight....right?????
Thanks for commenting.

Oh how wonderful, Susan! Your sentiment is perfect for Sam if he's struggling with learning how to make right decisions! I love the out of focus photo and I'm loving your sense of creativity.

That eye instrument is a bit like those 3D pictures that you can tune in and tune out of. You certainly took Lydia's challenge literally, and then ran with it for a fabulous guy card. And what a really wonderful quote - this is why it's lovely seeing your cards in the gallery again , you have the best quotes!!

Oh this is so wonderful, and your description warms my heart. Hindsight IS 20/20 and don't we all wish we'd had that at his age? Bless him and you and thank you for sharing this MARVELOUS card.

Susan, another wonderful Mark Twain quote - I have a collection of them - on paper, not stamps, unfortunately! And what a fabulous, encouraging card for your son, as always, full of your thoughtful creativity and clever interpretation!
