What a perfect way to get into the VSN mini, Kelly with Christmas music swirling and twirling through my head. I love the Jingle Bell Rock from Elvis and Sinatra's 'I'll be home for Christmas', but my all time favorite carol dates back to at least the 18th century.
I loved your challenge of 2 layers, 2 favorite embellishments and extra bonus credit. This fabulous stamp from The Queen's Dresser Drawers was twice, once directly onto the white cardstock and then again on pink vellum. I embossed the vellum image using a Silver Pearl powder. It was cut and popped onto the base. I decorated the edge of the angel's shirt with pink pearls. My second embellishment is the pink sheer ribbon with fuzzy brown polka dots. Since the carol talks about the star in several verses, I used Tim Holtz's retro star embossing folder to give the illusion of light.
To get you in the mood, have a listen to . Thanks for having a look and may the music of the season warm your hearts.

Oh my goodness, it's great to see you back here again, Susan! I've missed you! This is not only beautiful but so meaningful - the pink and black against the crisp white makes such a lovely contrast, the ribbon is fabulous!

LOVE this one, too. The way you embossed off to the side really looks like rays of light and stars. I've always loved angel images and this one sports a fancy pearl necklace. The musical notes are just perfect to complete this challenge. Now, what am I going to do for mine??? Great work on this.
