This is also for Jami'l Hope for the Holidays challenge in the HYCCT forum. I was totally inspired by labullard's card http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...=0&thumbcheck=
My cute cardinal was punched from regal rose cs using the scallop circle punch, 1 3/8 and 2 inch circle punches. the black mask and more mustard beak were formed using the photo corners punch. I embossed the wing for texture, popped it up and sponged everything for depth. I masked the snow and brayered soft sky and cool carribbean for the sky. Taylored Expressions branch in espresso, snowflakes embossed in white from teh Christmas punches set. The ornament was embossed and colored with markers and popped up. I drew in the string and ornament loop.
Thanks so much for looking and your kind comments!

I love this non traditional choice of colors for this (although it is inspired on a pink ornament so maybe it's not so unexpected....)..Your blue sky is so soft and wonderful with its snowy flakes...lovely card!

Accckkk I love this and want to CASe it! Here's the funny thing...I clicked on the link to Linda's card that inspired you and saw that it was already in my favorites from 2009. Obviously I loved the idea back then too. Yours is going in my faves and maybe I'll actually make one this year. :) Love that you made the bird pink!
