My SC354 Sympathy card. I wanted something more masculine, soft and fairly CAS. I used the new Love & Sympathy set from the SU main 2011-12 catty. This set has the soft and pretty flower and 2 beautiful sentiments. The longer text sentiment is inside the card. I really like brown tones for a soft effect. The flower and sentiment are heat EB. I think much prettier IRL. Enjoy...
Thank you Roxie for a wonderful layout. I hope to make a Christmas card later with the same layout.

Nancy, this is a cool layout! I love the papers you chose and the image. Someone asked me the other day how you make a sympathy card - do you know how hard that is to answer? I told them I always go with a monochromatic theme, mostly browns, and use some image that invokes peace and beauty - your card met all my requirements! Super card - I may try that layout myself!

So soft and pretty without being frilly. I like the monochromatic look that you used. You still amaze me by being able to use different patterns of paper together and not have it look garish or cluttered.
So sorry for your friends. Your love and concern for them will surely come through in your card.
Wonderful card, Nancy! The monochromatic style is very soothing and perfect for a sympathy card. I love the little touch with the linen thread tied on the stem!
