For those of you have been crafting awhile... do you remember the Aleene's craft show on tv? I remember them doing this technique with Aleene's tacky glue called Burned paper bag. When I did it over 20 years ago, I used a candle to burn the glue. Now I use my heat gun. The leaves on this card were made with this technique. I have a tutorial on my blog if you would like to see how to do this. I used the leaf from the new Mark's Finest Papers set called AUTUMN GLORY.
When I started using this technique I wondered about how well the colors would hold up on the glue. I was afraid that the color would rub off. When the markers are dry, I have tried to get the color to rub off of the glue and haven't been able to.

, I actually scorched some of my paper bag, but it wasn't on purpose, and it didn't look anything like as fantastic as this . Those leaves are really beautiful.
