When I saw the new technique that Lydia shared in the Wed.tutorial, ( Crayon Rubbed Embossing Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers ) I wanted to give it a whirl. It definitely has a learning curve I found the key to be making sure you REALLY waxed up those raised areas well. As it is, I ended up with ink getting onto my raised flowers, but I liked the effect. I switched to Pink Pirouette for the base color and brayered Cherry Cobbler over that. The poinsettias were used for my 3 panels. I finally had some big brads and was able to use Mary(stampercamper)'s technique for bow making and added a seam-binding bow at the bottom. The sentiment is rounded and sponged then layered over 2 designer label punched pieces (I cut off 2 small pieces of each to make a straighter edge). Thanks to Roxi for finding and sharing another great sketch for today's sketch challenge.

Gail, your efforts created a beautiful Christmas card. You're braver than me...I really am afraid of ruining any of my EFs...or having a huge "clean-up" job afterwards. Your great example might just spur me on! : )
