This is my 1st card using the new "Beautiful Season" stamp set from the 2011-12 SU Catty. What a gorgeous set and so much fun to color. I actually Finally got the SU Watercolor Pencils, so colored the image with the Pencils and my Blender Pen. I stamped the image with Black Stazon onto Shimmery White CS. The pencils and blender pen worked beautifully without any "pilling". I did the same with watercolor paper, but liked the sharper image results with the Shimmery White CS.
Then I had the bright idea to Versamark the entire image and heat EB with Clear EB Powder. Wow....that really made the image and colors POP! I LOVE the results and will be making several for Christmas. I do LOVE to color :-)
Enjoy and Thanks for Looking and reading my rambling description. BTW...Roxie's SC layout worked perfectly for the chickadee image and sentiment...don't you think?!? thanks Roxie :-)

Wow!! I really love the coloring, and I love your black border around the edge - makes it look totally different - in a good way!! And putting clear EP on the whole thing - what a great idea! Thanks for all the details, because this is one that I want to CASE when I get this set (I think it's coming Monday?!).
Nancy, do you have a blog? Just curious - and I've googled before and haven't found one for you. You can PM me with the answer. :-)

This card is beautiful, Nancy. I like the way you used the striped paper. It looks like ribbon. You were inspired when you added the black border around the main image: it really anchors it and makes it the focal point. It also balances the label.
You did a great job with the watercolor pencils. Your little chickadee looks so realistic.
