FINALLY back to play in a challenge. I had to force myself to take a hiatus from stamping as I prepared to start our home school year with my 4 remaining students! I had seen a standing collage piece at a coffee shop a couple of weeks ago and picked up this frame at a thrift store that I thought could work for a similar piece. There were a lot of fun collage type art pieces on the inspiration site. Here's one that I liked http://www.patinastores.com/catalog/...-wall-art.html and also these vases with butterflies http://www.patinastores.com/catalog/...vels-vase.html My friend Laura was over for some stamping time and she helped me piece together this collage. I had a collage type piece of dp for my base and I had the vellum definitions and I went on from there. Lots of sponging and distressing and some pieces from an old SU scrapbooking kit with a Heritage theme as well as some chipboard pieces from the dollar store. I used a couple of pieces from the Mariposa Matstack and some hardware and ribbon and FINALLY made myself stop and call it done.

You are on a roll today with your awesome creations!! I really love this. I have such a hard time with collage style but you have done it perfectly! Saving to favorites to help me with my next attempt. This is the look I go for but can never quite achieve.

What a beautiful piece of art you have created here. The vellum quotes and the other little pieces all come together for a beautiful collage. And what a great memory you have too...creating with a GF help!

Now I know why I love collage cards! This is wonderful. I had fun looking at all the 'things' you've pulled together to craft a really cool vintage collage.
