Hi everyone. Today is the weekly StampinB challenged hosted by Lois, a/k/a Clownmom. Lois' challenge today was to make a square b/day card with piercing.
If you'd like to join in the challenge this week, click onto StampinB on my signature line and be sure to put StampinB in your keyword.
I didn't plan on this card being so bright. I loved the b/g dp and matched up the purples and pinks in the dp and this is what resulted. Not my favorite, but it does meet the challenge!
I used this b/day sentiment from a stamp I've had for years for the focal point which is placed on a nestie and sponged. I matted it with a rectangular nestie and popped up on dimensionals.
For the paper piercing, it couldn't be seen on the dp, so I pierced and then used faux stitching so you could see where the piercing was done.
I added a double ribbon, some flowers and my new b/fly border punch. I'm slowly trying to catch up with you Benzi on all your border punches and PATP's.
Thanks so much for taking a look and have a great week.

Yup, I thought the Stampin B challenge this week must be to use bright colours when I saw your card and the one by Da Benz. Now that I have located my sunglasses I must say this is just wonderful. Love that awesome flutterby border punch. Of course you did 'faux' stitching. But that's a whole nuther story ain't it! ;-) Awesome birthday sentiment! WTG my Fruitflakezi Punchie Pal. RYPH!
