Garden Party is this week's free image at Delightful Inspiration. It's a progressive challenge and each week you play along, you get another free image.
I decided this would be a great image to try a variety of techniques. I was having such a fun time that I wound up making 5 different cards with the same image. I needed to replenish my stash of cards I have on hand, anyway. LOL
The beautiful digital image "Garden Party" on this card is colored just with Copics. Next I drew a plain frame around the scene and cut out the scene and frame all as one piece, except for the bee which I cut out separately. I sponged a sky on three sides of the frame with SU Classic inks and sponged the edges with pink and violet to reflect the flowers. On a separate piece of white cardstock I sponged the sky and then popped up the frame and scene on the sky bg. Added Stickles and Liquid Pearls and drew in the cut out part of the bee's flight path, popped up the bee in the sky.
