What a terrific site for today's IC Challenge! Stef always finds fun sites! I went straight to the jewelry cause I'm easily distracted by shiny stuff, lol. I noticed a lot of necklaces and earrings w/ birds on them and I'm a real bird lover. I also have these 2 bird punches and a bird cage die I've been wanting to take for a spin. So I chose Blackbird Necklace for the birds and Buttons Buttons for the colors and because I love buttons.
Another newbie in my stash is this neat little pigment ink stack w/ all these bright, fun colors. I used almost all of them here. For the long panel on the left, I lined up a bunch of the different TY's from the set (all cling mounted, so it's easy) on a big clear block, inked them w/ the diff colors then cut it w/ a long rect die. I did the same for the main greeting and used the out of the box Nestie technique and a Spellbinders labels 17. I traced around it and hand cut the hot pink layer.
The white and hot pink buttons are a Sizzix sizzlet die and after cutting, I embossed w/ 2 diff folders then tied them together w/ a thin strip of paper. The bird cage was die cut and I punched the two birds and inked them and their wings before putting them together.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.
