Another Thursday brings another Stampin' B's DT Challenge!! I am honored to be the challenge hostess this week. My challenge is to create a thank you card using spring colors--the added twist is that one of the colors must be PINK.
Daffodils have a special place in my heart because they are my birthday flower! This gorgeous daffy image is from Flourishes, and I had the best time using my favorite coloring technique: watercolor painting with inks. Yay! That's always so enjoyable. I thought that a pink, yellow, and celery color scheme would be just right for this spring thank you note. The yellow and pink ledger paper DP in the background is from Pink Paislee's Sweetness collection. The yellow lace is vintage stuff from the sewing box I inherited from my Gramma.
Stamps: Flourishes A Year in Flowers, Calendar Set #1; Mark's Finest Papers Thankful Mums and Pumpkins (sentiment on tag)
Paper: SU regal rose CS, SU certainly celery CS, Pink Paislee Sweetness DP, Canson watercolor paper
Ink: Palette noir black, various inks for watercoloring
Accessories: EK 2.25" circle punch, MS topiary border and corner punches, SU scallop trim border punch, SU jewelry tag punch, watercolor brush, foam tape, vintage lace, buttons from my stash, embroidery floss, Sandylion butterfly sticker

Beautiful work, Emzi! These colors and trims just sing "spring!" Sigh, I wish that I could use my punches as you do...perfect choices (of course) perfectly executed.

I may play in this one if I get some time this weekend - what a fun challenge. I love your Spring colors and that bg paper. Lovely flowers too - I need to figure out what my birthday flower is.... I should know that shouldn't I?

Oohh that's just gorgeous!!! I love that punch/ diecut of yours!! Really a stand out!! As for my birthday flowers - they are carnations!! And you know what, like you - I really love my birthday flowers too! For my wedding, I am allergic to roses, so I had a carnation bouqet - and they were a fairly dark pink!!! Well, I think I've won the stampin B challenge just by telling you that!
Great looking card! You are always so fashion forward with your cards - I love that grid stamped in the background. Nicely done!

Oh my goodness Emzi, your creations keep getting better every time. I look super forward to seeing new uploads. LOVE those precious buttons on the nestie and your beautiful daffy as you called it. The b/g ledger dp is quite unique and who can't love your borders and ribbon. A real "beautzi"!
