Here's my card for today's Technique Lover's Challlenge, TLC315. The challenge was to make a card that had an odd shape. Hopefully a tag shape is odd enough to qualify! I made this pocket card to mimic a tag and then made a folded card that has embossed front that slips inside the pocket. It's standard A2 size and fits in a normal envelope.
A quickie lesson on how it was made:
Start with 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" top fold mustard card. Cut off about 2" of the front, punch apron lace border on that edge, score 5/8" above that and valley fold. Sponge with mustard around edges. Make holes at either side and attach brads as shown. To create tag shape at top, sketch pencil line that looks right (ha!), cut and use the discard to trace the pencil line on the other corner; cut remaining corner. Adhre 5/8" green circle punch to top center, punch out 1/4" circle in center and tie twine through. Punch/emboss Grape leaf using rust, sponge with rust ink and add to border lace fold area with dimensionals. Die cut the single word thanks in olive and glue to front. For card insert, make top fold olive card approx 3 1/2" W X 4 3/4", cut top corners, copying the slant on the pocket card. Dry emboss with leafy branch ef and sponge with olive ink. Whew! So much for quick!!!
Thanks for looking
