This card is for the color challenge. Wow, what a challenge. I seldom if ever use a plum color. I only had a small scrap of plum. I had been wanting to try these flowers after seeing Nancy's tutorial. When I sewed them, the white core of the plum scrap that I had showed through, so I thought my card would go in a shabby direction, but for the teaparty this week we were challenged to dress it up. Now being a jeans and t-shirt kinda person this is not my usual style. To dress this card up I added lace, gold cording and black satin ribbon. But to keep with the shabby I zig zagged with black thread and I distressed the edges of the card. This is my way to come in both of Mothermark's categories!! Best and Worst! The flowers were a lot of fun to make and I know I will try this technique again. I used a Mark's Finest Papers sentiment from the hearts, hearts, hearts set. My hardware is the brads in the center of the flowers.

Always happy when I see your posting in the teapot challenge. You can't go wrong bringing flowers especially ones as beautiful as these. Glad you tried this technique. The stitching on the edges adds just another interesting dimension.
