I made this Bargello card for a dear friend of mine named Sue. I gave her one of my other quilted cards on Sunday and we were talking about our interests. I like making cards and sewing on them, but she likes making quilts. She has a quilt store in our local mall, and today it caught on fire. I can't imagine the horror of seeing all your hard work burn. She always had lovely quilts hanging in her store, and I know she was always working on a quilt for somebody. I haven't heard the total damage, but what didn't burn I am sure has smoke damage. I hope insurance will cover the cost of what was lost, but I know nothing will ever replace all the creative art that was lost. I used the daisy and sentiment from Mark's Finest Papers set called "Greet the day with Gerber". I embossed the bargello part with my cuttlebug and an embossing folder. This card is also for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge to make a card with Green on it!

I am sure your friend will really appreciate this. That's a really sad story - smoke does destroy so much. I like your happy colours, and the flower image is lovely.
