Just wanted to make a card today and I am in love with this flower image from Elements of Style...I figure this fits the days of our lives category so I chose to add it to the fan club gallery for this month
I love and miss my husband more than words can measure...this will be on it's way to him soon. Days of my life often include missing him as he is currently serving in Iraq...there are days that this deployment seems never ending so I often find myself making cards with him in mind...although I know at some point it will be over and he will once again be near me...I can't wait! I've been trying to enjoy the abundance of time I have for stamping, when I am not running my kids around...
Anyhow, about my card...I stamped my main image in crumb cake to create "DP" then again once in black stazon, colored the roses with Riding hood Red and Cherry Cobbler, leaves are old olive and Celery, centers are So Saffron. I outlined my image in Bashful Blue to give it a little more depth. Sentiment I got at Impress for $2, this is the first time it's seen ink...I also outlined it with Bashful blue to make it appear to have a shadow. Put my main panel (Crumb Cake, Bashful Blue & Black) up on dimensionals and adhered it to my card base, which was also stamped using the main image in Cherry Cobbler and added a little ink distressing. I added a heart with a pretty inked up mulberry paper rose, and some yummy retired Old Olive ribbon as well as Bashful Blue Taffeta Ribbon, and some faux stitching.
What do you think?
Thanks for looking! Happy Stampin! God Bless!

Such a beautiful card! I love the way you stamped the main image and colored it on something besides cream or white! We appreciate those serving in the military and their families so much! My husband was in for three years, but I didn't know him at the time, so I didn't have to miss him like you're doing with your husband. Hope your husband returns soon.
