I combined today's color challenge, yesterday's technique lover's challenge and the quilt card from last week's Wednesday tutorial. I added punched edges to the shadow box and belly band. I stamped the spool of thread for the belly band with black stazon. I colored it with prisma colored pencils. I then wrapped the spool with blue thread. I added buttons tied with thread to the belly band. On the quilt card, I stamped the buttons with blue, green and yellow ink and punched them out using a small circle punch. I used my paper piercer to poke holes in the centers. I stamped the spool of thread image with black stazon and colored it with prisma colored pencils. I then cut it out and placed craft foam behind it to give it dimension. The quilt was made from scraps. I used my sewing machine to zig zag the seams. I made this card for a friend from grade school that I haven't seen in 20 years and we connected online this week. All the images are from the Mark's Finest Papers set called Sew What?.
I am loving how the shadow box works so well as a holder or envelope for the quilted cards.
