This is a page for my DD1...she absolutely LOVED these shoes.
This is for the Jan11VSBNB challenge although I took a different twist on Lura's challenge. It is based on the song by Pink, Raise Your Glass...I too LOVE the beat of this song like Lura but I also LOVE the intention of the song...to be yourself and celebrate your uniqueness. My dd1 is uniquely herself and doesn't care if she 'fits' in and isn't very girly. And, at age 15, I'm so impressed with her lack of insecurity...she loves who she is and is proud of herself and always has been...very unique for puberty and teen years...makes me tear up just thinking about it, I'm so proud!
This page is for her and everytime I hear Pink's song, this part of it reminds me of her:
...So if you're too school for cool,
And you're treated like a fool,
You can choose to let it go
We can always, we can always,
Party on our own
(so raise your) So raise your glass if you are wrong, In all the right ways,
All my underdogs,
We will never be never be anything but loud...
I also was using the scrapbook inspiration 91 challenge for this page. I used this for inspiration: http://www.kirklands.com/product/Wal...293/156573.uts though it sort of morphed along the way and isn't really like it :-)

Awesome shoes! I love how you switched the "u" and the "you" in your title - just goes to show how unique your DD is. Your DD sounds very mature and def. smart to be comfortable in her own skin. I bet a lot of girls her age (and some our age) can learn quite a lot from her. Kudos to you for raising such a brilliant girl

My DGD has shoes like these too -- they have the coolest sneakers out these days. It must be hard as a mom to resist buying multiple pairs for their kids.
I like that you did a page showcasing your DD's style choice in shoes. She'll love this in years to come. I love how the butterfly and title coordinate with the shoe color--and that flourish is cute. Fun page!

This is a great page and a cool take on the challenge! Sounds like your DD isn't the only one in the family who isn't afraid to be themselves. I think she must have a good example to live by! Thanks for participating in my challenge!
