I gave the 'vintage' look a try, I really did. My husband TOTALLY did not like this card. Some wise fellow crafters told me to *never* ask a hubby's opinion on a card!
More details and closeup of this failed card can be seen at Dietrich Designs.

Have to giggle when I see this card and remember you hubby's comment ;) Way to stretch out of your comfort zone.

I love this card - I can see that a man might not like it since it is kind of girly and vintage. The left border done in red is perfect!

Especially on a vintage card - DH's just don't understand them. However, I totally get this one Colleen - MAGICAL!! Listen to me, not DH but don't let DH know I said so. Yikes!

Making cards is NOT a man's world. Believe me when I say this...I have had some experience...lol When my husband starts taking out his tools from the garage when I am struggling with putting something together, I just roll my eyes. What in the heck am I going to do with a vice grip in cardmaking!!!! Yes Dear....my favorite reponse to his helping. lol
So Colleen this is not a fail at all. This is a gorgeous Vintage card. I love the image and the punched border. Very pretty. Don't give up on Vintage....just don't show them to hubby!!! lol

I can see that the other Punchkateerz are giving you fabulous advice where DH's advice on vintage cards is concerned. Listen to your fellow punching sisters!! I think this is just a beautiful card and I LOVE that you recycled that fabulous image and layered on beautiful details.
