I kept her layout, tried to use colors close to her card, and followed her special sewing technique (you know - the one where you don't actually use any thread). I changed up the image (I love her snowman but I have packed up my snowmen images - not really but...), added a flower, and added lots of pearls (Pamzi adores her some pearls).
I am sending this to my MIL who has been struggling a bit lately.
Pamzi, Faith, Fruitcake, VP, Princess, or Queen - whatever name or title you are going by right now - I think you are one special gal! RYPH!
PT - one measly little punch - worse than Benzi (I am so ashamed).

This is beautiful, Nancy! I love your big flower and the concept of sewing without thread! Such a cool idea and so good for people like me who don't sew. LOL!

Aww, Nancy that is the perfect thought to send to someone who needs a lift!! Sending off some prayers from here for her as well!! Great take on Pam's card -very creative too!!
I agree that Pamzi has some of the best (in the West) cards - well, maybe the west side of her town anyway - this is a testament to her and to you for your thoughtfulness, Sister!

Nancy, you are hysterical my Nutzi friend and fellow punch addict. This is truly deserving of my queenly status. Yes, I go by a variety of names so as to keep my queenly riches a secret. Everyone would try to take my treasures and status away. But, now you've spilled the beans and everyone knows I really am da queen; however, I do have a fancy for some cowboys, ya know!
I LOVE your card and think it's funny as this is based on the one I sent you for Christmas. I love this image and sentiment. Those Emerson gals sure do get around, don't they. Wait a minute, is that Anne Ryan trying to give The Queen Fruitcake some advice? Will she never learn that I'm not smart enough to comprehend these deep words of wisdom. I have my royal staff translate everything with big words and words of wisdom. Being the queen, I have little time to be burdened with having to think for myself.
Your creation is awesome, your friendship a blessing and that big flower - YUMMO - not to mention the "fake" stitching. We all know the story on that one, don't we? Now that I'm da queen and all rich and everything, I can have one ordered myself. Just wait and see! BTW, I know that you have a hidden camera inside that gorgeous flower. Are you tryin' to spy on da queen? I will, once again, have our resident defective detective agent 9999, Debzi, investigate this right away. A queen can never be too careful as I will never lose my throne!! Thanks Nancy for honoring me with this funny and priceless card!!

Queen Pamzi, darling, I would never presume to spy on you! While it might be incredibly entertaining, I couldn't afford the camera, couldn't figure out how to make the film stream to my computer, and besides that, I am sending this to my MIL and she doesn't even have cable so when she places it on the bookcase, all I could see would be her sitting in her recyliner watching network TV - not worth the effort or money! Now if I was going to spy on you, I would try to make the cutest WWW card of all time (I would probably need Cindy or Pat or Sue's help with that) and then I would know you would put it in a super special place and I could see some interesting things - no scratch that - you stick the WWW man in the closet don't you? Ok, Plan B, if I was going to spy on you, I would have to call Anne Ryan or Debzi and figure out the best method (yes, be careful who you trust).

Hey, Nancy--don't worry about being the "last" to know about Fruitflake's royalty gig. You were just "fashionably late," that's all!! This is an outstanding CASE of Pamzi's original. You really captured her style. I love that Emerson stamp--a great pick for your MIL. And that Prima flower is an excellent choice. I know that this wonderful card of yours made Pamzi's day!
