This is for today's Ways to Use It challenge, WT305, Butterfly Bliss. I think butterflies are the perfect vintage collage element! I gold embossed this butterfly from the MFP set Hearts, Hearts, Hearts to accent my "sew lovely" collage.
The rest of the images and sentiment are from a new set called Sew What being released this week from Mark's Finest Papers. Because I do sew (see HERE), I am just thrilled with this set. As soon as I saw it, I just knew that I would be gold embossing those antique sewing scissors to make them look just like my little Gingher embroidery snips.
This collage was such fun to put together! I pawed through the tin of vintage buttons I inherited from my grandmother (that thimble prop in the photo is hers as well), tied on some Caribbean baker's twine from The Twinery, included some lovely vintage-style crocheted lace trim from Mark's Finest Papers, and finally got to use some of the Webster's Pages Bloomers I won back in the fall. Happy me!!!
This will go to one of my elderly aunts who took a tumble after Christmas and is recuperating after hip surgery. She is an avid quilter, so I think she'll love the vintage sewing theme of this card.

GORGEOUS, Emily! I love the way you combined the crocheted lace and the turquoise bloomer. I have those bloomers in bunches of colors and always forget to use them. I will be CASEing this card, for sure! ;)
