Started this last year... My friend wanted Christmas cards for her stitching friends using this classic set, and I did get that done, but these stamps have been on my side table for months, and I just kept looking, wondering how I could make a "frame worthy" piece for her dining room. I made a sample for her, and this is not even close to what I showed her, but I am happy with this one.
The main image from Handstitched Holiday (SU 2002) was stamped using black EP on DP and also white paper that has the Linen background from SU. I adhered the felt to a sheet of black and stitched the edges on my machine. The angel was paper pieced, and popped up. (I warned her that I cannot make anything flat, and she will need special framing! Lol!)
Thanks for taking time to look!

No WONDER, it sat on the side table for almost a year - it would have been on mine for 5 YEARS! I cannot even conceive how you came up with this amazing creation, Sis!! This is definitely a true work of art and has me close to speechless ( heheh, we all know how hard that is for me) I think I will just ship all my "stuff" out to you, since you have no trouble utilizing EVERYTHING in your craft room when you put together something like this !! Thanks for sharing this fantastic piece - definitely worthy of framing!!

Woo hoo, what a masterpiece this one is. I love and so will your friend.
Your stitching is so pretty and the paper piecing is so perfect to make the angel look so cute and the button paper is perfect to provide a vintage look to it. Superb!
