If youÂ’ve ever owned a pet chances are youÂ’ve seen a similar scene in your own home like the predicament this kitty got into.
The lights were battery operated in this scene so kitty was never in any real danger!
=^..^=
-Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps were used to color the image using the Gamsol technique. Baby oil replaces the Gamsol/mineral spirits.
-To give the appearance of the lights being lit - color the bulbs with Prismacolor pencils and blend it out of the image. Ink up the bulb area with a VersaMark pen, pour on Sticky Powder and heat emboss until you see it shine then pour on the glitter.
Tip: if the outline gets covered with the embossing procedure it can be defined again with a permanent marker.
-The out of the box image using Nestabilities: a pictorial can be viewed on my blog in this link if you need photos and IÂ’ll explain how I achieved the technique for those that donÂ’t wish to leave SCS for directions: Lie the Nestabilities die cut side up over the image and mark with a pencil on each side of the image that will be out of the box (youÂ’re marking on the inside of the die cut) and also make a couple small marks on the top or bottom for easy die cut line up. Cut the image slightly further than the mark to allow for the thickness of the metal. Flip the die over and slide it under the portion which was just cut and secure with repositional tape if needed (I use the blue painters tape). Run through the machine to cut then emboss and remove the die cut, erase the pencil marks and itÂ’s ready to color. I color after cutting just in case I make a mistake.

This made me smile and giggle. I have 2 cats! Just wanted to say that I always appreciate that you share your process on your cards - it is so very helpful in the learning process.
