Here's the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge card for this week. I'm not sure where this all came from to be honest. Not where I started that's for sure.
If you'd like to join in the fun, awards and prizes, check out the MMSC found here:
There is an intricate and more CAS sketch so everyone can join in.
I used some really cute paper from DCWV; but, unfortunately the panels cover up most of it and the strip in the middle of the panels where there are some beautiful leaves printed on it are covered up by the branch punches I used. Oh well, I do like the colors, so there you go.
Instead of the triple twine on the left side of the image panel, I opted for 3 leaves and 3 flowers. I embossed the bird with swiss dots ef. I made the bird with my SU bird and branch punch. The b/g mat was embossed with my fave SU square lattice ef.
The bird was popped up on dimensionals in several areas and the horizontal panel was also raised up on dimensionals.
That's about it this week. I almost didn't get this one in, but somehow I managed to finish today.

Well, well, well, what have we here!! A wonderful panel card by the Fruitcake!!! You know - I made a panel card today myself!! Ai yi - the math involved in the measuring and deciding the sizes of the panels!! Girl - I've a new respect for you!! Do you know I mostly use metric - so I think a 10 based system makes sense - but then - so many cards are in 5/8 of inch here, 1/16 of inch - on and on and oh it's so confusing to me!! I have to get my husband to help me with all of those 1/8ths!!! And 16ths of an inch!!!! Such tricky stuff!! I know - 1/4/ 1 /2 and 3/4 of an inch -and there it ends!!!
Anyway - having made a panel card - I respect you fabulous straight edges , your great look main panel - hey - I need to use my bird punch too!!!Yakkity Yack!

This is a beauty! I love the papers and the way you did the bird punch - impressive. I did a bird punch card this weekend and will load it one day when my computer stops timing out when I try to load a card!
I saw your comment about the bling on my card - I am afraid this challenge has led me down the path of becoming a bling-a-holic. I don't like cards without 50 embellishments on them anymore. My DH did comment about the postage costs and started refusing to go to the post office and mail them more often than once a week (in a nice way of course). I now make myself use a ton of bling only on cards I am going to hand to someone or for a really special occasion. Sad but true.
You did good on your embellishments on this one - they all appear to be flatter so maybe you won't have too much extra postage - I can see the layers may have added some weight though. Have you started asking for stamps as presents from your family yet? I have considered it! Ha, Ha!
