My college boy LOVES candy corn. After seeing Anna Wight's post found here: http://sweetmissdaisy.typepad.com/sa...mpkin-poo.html I found the perfect way to package some up and send to him. We share a corny, quirky sense of humor so I'm sure he'll get a chuckle from it. I changed the poem up a little; mine reads:
I went to carve a pumpkin
with my butcher knife and scoop,
but the pumpkin got so frightened
that he took a little poop!
It looked so cute and funny,
just like a candy treat,
so I'm sharing some with you, Matt,
because you are so sweet!!
Matt just has one syllable and I thought the flow sounded better. If you have a more than one syllable name, you could just slip in the word "dear".
These punkins (Dunkin and Louise) were heading to da Mudder's teapot party when they spied Carvin' Marvin and thus had their little accident. The itsy bitsy spider thought she had problems!!! The bats are swooping in to assure Dunkin and Louise that punkins don't have nerve endings and the carvin' process is a piece of pie (punkin pie that is...mwaaahaaahaaa!!)

Only something as sweet as this could come from those sweet little hands of yours, my friend. You son is gonna be pretty darn surprised when he sees what Mom sent him. I trust the candy will be gone b/4 he gets to read what's inside.
