I need two birthday cards today. Sketch challenge 302 seemed perfect for my daughter's MIL, who has strawberry red hair and tends to wear the fall colors a lot. I used an old stamp set called Fall Whimsy. I really haven't got enough use out of it, so this was a great opportunity. The cross panel is inked in a direct ink pad to paper technique. I also inked an extra maple leaf in red and orange and a small one in green and cut them out and applied them to the image panel

I like the stamps a lot, they're very whisical, and portray the fluttering in the wind idea great! Really lovely colors with the gauva and the celery, makes me want to try a fall card with lighter colors, it's so pretty!

Ina, your card is lovely with those colors and handmade dp! Your daughter's MIL should really love receiving this for her BD. Did you make it to Rochester?
