Today's card is for both of Monday's challenges,,,the clean & simple challenge to use the faux letterpress technique ...and the technique lovers challenge to split the image.
I covered one side of my dotted swiss EF with night of navy and ran a piece of whisper white through my Cuttlebug to get my background paper. I then took that same paper and ran it back through the cuttlebug with a shim under it and flatted the embossing. I taped off the small sunflower on the stamp then used my spectrum pad to color the image...AFTER REMOVING the tape from the unwanted flower...I was then able to stamp only the part of the stamp that I needed. I then ran this page through the sizzix press with the jig saw puzzle die to give me the pieces for the split image.
October is National Cancer Awareness month and this card will be given to my dear friend Brenda who is undergoing chemo,,,,to give to her fantastic Doctor Singh at the Springfield Cancer Center.....to thank him for his great treatment of her.
Great challenges ladies.
Hope you like my card. Happy Monday !
