My first "tri shutter" card. My July OCS Blogger partner, Kelli, just started as a Stampin' Up Demo and our challenge was to use words instead of images as a focal point. I used a sheet of dp from DCWV with encouraging quotes and inspirational quotes on it. From there I chose a couple and instead of just cutting them in the normal square/rectangular shapes, I punched various corners to round them, embossed one in an embosslit, I cut around the words as if it were an image, etc. I also embossed the layer of cs underneath with Victoria on my CB and then inked over the embossed areas in TH Distress Burlap. Various words are colored with perfect pearls that match the shade of the word to emphasize (i.e. "Imagine" at the beginning of the card). I also do some beading when I'm not busy getting ink on everything, lol, and so I hung two little pearls down from two mountain folds for some visual interest. I really love how this card turned out... :-)
