Congratulations to sweet Peggy-Sue who reigns as our new Queen for the Day this week! Peggy is a friend to all and very encouraging and supportive of others. Plus, she's a mega talented stamper! I hope you can find time to play. Check out the details in Anne's challenge forum here:
I chose to case Peggy's stunningly beautiful Quiet Kindness card because I love the black embossing paired with the vibrant colors she sponged onto her background:
I made mine a sympathy card for one of my coworkers whose husband passed away this last week. I wanted soothing colors, so I made my own designer paper by blending alcohol inks onto glossy cardstock. The tree and sentiment are black heat embossed.
Things I changed:
1. colors
2. stamps
3. moved sentiment onto main image panel
4. added corner treatment
Peggy, I hope you are enjoying wearing that beautiful crown (it's not too heavy, is it?) and this much deserved honor!!

Yikes, Charlene, your hand crafted dp is really striking, dont you think? Soft and subtle just what you were going after. The tree is perfect with this design too. Oh boy, you certainly made a warm and sensitive sympathy card.

Well, must be a busy week for sympathy cards! I needed one for a friend as well, and I must say this is very striking! Your choice of such soothing colors to use in this technique makes this a very comforting card and an excellent case of our newest Queen!! TFS
