This card was created for Tuesday's Tea Party Challenge. I volunteered to make this particular card for Andrew, a brave young man who is in need of some cheer. I was assigned one of the players on Andrew's baseball team. The batter striking out is that player, Jake whose team number is 51. The teams' colors are white, gold and black.....I tried to personalize this as much as possible.
As to the making of this....well it is totally computer generated. And....it was a learning experience. The human head on the baseball player had to be taken off, the bulldog head resized and placed onto the human body......The coach in the background had the wrong symbol on his chest, so I cut that out and added the E for Andrew's team. And...my guess is that the team just isn't the same without Andrew there, so poor Jake is striking out......and thus the saying was 'born'......
Inside I just put a thought for the day which I found at quotegarden.com ........Baseball is the only sport that appears backwards in a mirror.
Thought that might be an interesting factoid for a middle school age kid......
This is not my best card ever, but it was made with a lot of HEART. And I truly do think Andrew will get a kick out of it!!!
Thanks for looking.

What a great idea downloading a human baseball player and splicing it with a dog head. That was very clever of you and it's super cute, Andrew will love it.

Great card! I know what you mean about a learning experience with a photo editor! I sorta did the same thing and it was Sooooo time consuming! Your card turned out great though!
