This card was created for Tuesday's Tea Party Challenge. I volunteered to make this particular card for Andrew, a brave young man who is in need of some cheer. I was assigned one of the players on Andrew's baseball team. The batter striking out is that player, Jake whose team number is 51. The teams' colors are white, gold and black.....I tried to personalize this as much as possible.
As to the making of this....well it is totally computer generated. And....it was a learning experience. The human head on the baseball player had to be taken off, the bulldog head resized and placed onto the human body......The coach in the background had the wrong symbol on his chest, so I cut that out and added the E for Andrew's team. And...my guess is that the team just isn't the same without Andrew there, so poor Jake is striking out......and thus the saying was 'born'......
Inside I just put a thought for the day which I found at quotegarden.com ........Baseball is the only sport that appears backwards in a mirror.
Thought that might be an interesting factoid for a middle school age kid......
This is not my best card ever, but it was made with a lot of HEART. And I truly do think Andrew will get a kick out of it!!!
Thanks for looking.

You Tried to personalize it? OMG! You DID personalize it! You rocked this card SnoSnot! I mean flat rocked it! It is absolutely the greatest card and don't you know it will bring a smile to Andrew, his family, the coach and the whole team. I feel one day it will be in the locker room handled by a bunch of 10 year old baseball stars! Snort!
Boscoe is a little concerned about the baseball stance though. Jake, dude, keep those feet planted when you swing......look at your front foot, why I can see the bottom of your shoe? Hey, where'd ya get those shoes? Yah? How much? Whoa, lets get this game won so we can all go get some new shoes!
Go Andrew! Go Jake! Go Snosnot! I love this! Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this challenge so special! You did good.....I can see the Heart you put into this! Can't wait until Andrew gets it! Whoo! Hoo!

This is a wonderful card. "Ruff" 42000 times. Love the little black brads on the gold. The computer generated image is awesome. Love that doggie head on the baseball player's body.

Hey, someone threw Jake a curve ball! Great card Joanne! Fab coloring and how clever to work a computer image to get what you need! Andrew will definitely love all the wonderful cards you ladies create for him! Hugs, Trish
Wonderful card! Don''t say it's not your best. You touched my heart by acknowledging that things aren't the same without Andrew. I'm sure he will feel like a million $$ when he gets your card.

Awwww, contraire, teacher extraordinaire! This card is full of awesome creativity! I would've never thought to try the computer generated stuff, let alone switching out a human head for a bulldog's head! That must have been a lot of work. And I love that the teacher in you still comes out with that baseball factoid. I can clearly see that your entire heart was into creating this cute card for Andrew, JoJo.

Using the team colours was a brilliant idea! Love your embossed background and fun sentiment, too. Perfect all round. I farm any heavy-duty photo editing off onto DH, much easier .
