This card features the colors in this week's Color Throwdown (Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight & Old Olive). Broni says these colors remind her of summer ... they remind me of my Mom's kitchen growing up (we had all avocado/olive appliances, cabinets & flooring). The sketch is this week's CardPatterns & it's also for the OCCC It's Embossible Challenge.
I used Olive & Tangerine designer paper from Basic Grey's Green at Heart Collection and a scrap of yellow designer paper that I believe is K&Company. Both scallop circle images were stamped in Colorbox Chalk ink and clear embossed & cut out with the coordinating scalloped circle die cuts. I inked around the edges & added a bit of orange colored pencil to a couple of the blooms in the main image.
I added a Fiskars border punch, some olive twine, a sentiment from Hero Arts Anytime Messages, and a few yellow pearls (for the Basic Grey Pearls Challenge) to finish the design.
One of the Challenge Themes at the Hero Arts Blog this month is Keeping in Touch. Since all of my family & many of my friends live far away, keeping in touch is the main reason I create cards ... I love being able to send a piece of me through the mail.

Unexpected and delightful colour scheme, Stef!!! I love it!! I hate to tell you - but my mom had the errr - style to get harvest gold way back when!! ;) But our first home that we bought ourselves had avacado appliances and - yes! purple toilets! We were styling!! ;)
Anyway, your card is gorgeous!! And very retro looking ! Great job , Stef!!!
