This is my card to honor Queen Marilyn. Wowza she she does have a lot of beautiful cards to admire in her huge galley! I chose this card to case.......
i was inspired by her gorgeous parrots. It made me think of the dwindled Bluebird population out here due to bad spring storms 2 years in a row. It will take years for them to recover. So this is what my card evolved into.
I stamped the trees from Plant Hope in celery on the celery cardstock and faux stitched around the edges. The scallops around the oval are just 1/2" circles adhered to the back. I mirrored the bird from the Punch Potourri.
I hope you enjoy your week Marilyn! your gallery is fabulous!

THis is wonderful! I love the quote and your reason behind the card. Trees and birds are at the top of my list of things we need to protect. Wonderful card! Great job and thanks so much for playing!

Just a simply peaceful card - I love the fact that it is not so "busy" that you miss the beauty of it. Can't believe you punched out all those circles to use for the scalloped boder on your oval - how clever! TFS

Such a serene and calming card, P-S. You'ved used the perfect colors with your birds. I love birds and nature, so I'm sorry to hear about the rains and the bird population. I love the simplistic and elegant presentation. It's a really wonderful card. Kudos, girl.

I love your little blue birds. I hope your real blue birds come back full strength soon. I love how your oval highlights the trees. So creative to use the punched circles to make your scalloped edge.

Your card is so pretty, Peggy-Sue. I love our Eastern Bluebirds and it is sad to hear about your storms and the bluebird population dwindling there.
