So my friend tells me she is in need of invitations for a holiday cookie party she is having. What is a cookie party? Well I am glad you asked! Because I think this idea is BRILLIANT (right Sharon)....
Everyone brings a different kind of cookie (like 2-3 dozen) and at the party - you not only sample the cookies, but each person invited gets to take a few of each cookie back home with them. You leave with all different kinds of cookies... What a great freakin idea! Holy HOLIDAY WEIGHT GAIN BATMAN!
So I made this little gingerbread man invite for her. The words are a font, printed on the computer in black and colored in with creamy caramel (CK sugar cookie). Mish's dot dash technique around the wording....
I used the tag punch kit which just barely fit around the flower - decorated the gingerbread man and colored him in with SU pens and a great copper gel pen. Then I sponge daubered him in caramel.

I'm having a cookie swap and I've been thinking about an invitation. I've been looking for someone who had the gingerbread house set and no one those. So I've been raking my brain for a idea, but this will be perfect! Thanks! Have fun at your cookie swap! Oh and you might want to tell your friend, I ask everyone to turn in the recipe for the cookie they are going to bring. I put all the different recipes on cardstock and stamp them pretty. I put them all in a ring, and Voila--you've got a little favor.
