This week's CAS challenge on SCS is to draw inspiration from a wesbite called Carrie's Cakes. I drooled over sever fundelicious cakes on that site I'll tell ya but settled on this one because it reminded me of poppies which are one of my fave florals - http://www.carriescakes.com/cakes/647.jpg
I used the two step stamp set from SU called Awash with Flowers to design the poppies. I used the kiss technique for the solid images and stamped them off once for the side flowers. Finished off the poppies with copper brads and popped the image panel up using dimensional tape on a SU canvas / versamark BG panel. The ribbon treatment is created by using a piece of red stick tape for the bottom or the ribbon. Before adhering the ribbon, create a loop for each pleat desired and position the pleat by using a glue dot on the underside of the pleat. Hope that makes sense - it's really easy peasy. Oh Wow!! This is absolutely beautiful!! Its in my favorites now. I just love the colors you used and what a kewl way to use that stamp. Love this card.
