Clear Dollar Stamps Clearly Inspired Challenge #14: Birthday Bash

Allsorts Challenge Week 58: Embossing
I started this card by cutting out my background striped paper and polka dot paper. After adhering the sheer polka dotted ribbon to the green paper (I hid the adhesive behind the elements), I attached these layers to my base card. Then I cut out 4 larger striped squares and 4 smaller yellow squares with my Nestabilities and embossed the edges of the larger squares. Since my yellow paper was double sided, I simply flipped over one of my yellow squares and stamped and embossed my saying onto it to help it stand out more. I also stamped and embossed my cupcake bottoms on the striped paper and then cut them out. I did the same thing with the cupcake tops on white paper. After I cut out the tops, I went over them with clear glitter glue so that it would look more like frosting. Once I adhered all of the squares to my card, I attached the cupcake bottoms with one layer of pop dots and I attached the tops with two layers of pop dots to create added dimension. |
