I was inspired by a card I saw in a members gallery recently, which I commented on, but I now can't remember who it was. So if this card looks similar to one of yours, I apologise for not being able to acknowledge your card properly.
I stamped the tree first, and used artists pastel, rubbed first onto scrap paper to get the powder which I picked up and wiped on using a cotton ball. I stamped the sentiment with clear embossing ink and wiped pastel on to show up the letters. I used a kneadable eraser to tidy up where the colour got under the mask.

I had never thought to try a mask this way. This is a wonderful idea...great way to use all those watercolor crayons that I'm neglecting. Thanks for sharing!
