Loved working with the summertime colors of So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie & Baja Breeze for the Color Throwdown challenge this week! I wanted the illusion of a large sun in the BG, so first used Nestie dies, then ran the saffron circle through the CB using one of Tim Holtz' new Texture Fades embossing folders. I love this Verve flower which has 3 layers separated by dimensionals. I colored them with Copics and added gemstones to the center. A flower doesn't seem complete without some leaves, so added some thanks to a fave die by SU. I frequently make square cards and attach the main part to a white, pre-embossed CS base found at Mike's...makes it even easier to complete a card. Thanks for stopping by and commenting and be sure to play along with the throwdown team (http://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/).
