This is a sympathy card that I made for a former employer of mine who just lost his wife to cancer.
This is the first time that I got to play with my Upsy Daisy set. I sponged the bg with orange ink and masked the sun. I die cut the image with nesties. I added the ribbon and pearls and the senti.
What do you think?

Very pretty card...so sorry you've needed another sympathy card. Love the way this image works with the nesties. I keep talking myself out of that set because my sister has it. Of course, I always want to use it when it's not convenient to go get it... Your card is sure to bring comfort to your friend. Hugz...

Wow, your sponging is awesome! I love the colors. I have that set on my wish list (when I get off craft stuff restriction). This is a sweet and thoughtful Sympathy card.

Oh, so very warm and gentle. Perfect as a sympathy card. Not only that, but I really like the bg you created for your first time use of the upsy daisy image.

It is beautiful Lesley. I know it will make your friend feel good knowing you thought of making something handmade for him. People really do find joy and comfort when they know we care. TFS my friend.

You did good masking that sun and sponging that sky a day-break color. Upsy Daisy works well there, because of the silhouette it creates across your sky. Sorry for your friend. :(
