Okay... this card is late coming in.. .but I had to do this one... it is a really important card for me today.. .I am very much upset by the gulf happening... and so I wanted to do a card for that ... at some time this week... I was talking to my mother today... being that she is 90 years old .. I try and talk to her at least once a day... she changes so very much every day.... wow... amazingly so... and I wanted to get a card done for Mojo Monday... So in between doing a lot of different things... like processing 250 pounds of sweet potatoes... and then getting the lettuce bed replanted with the next bunch of lettuce that is heat tolerant... going food shopping, which is 35 miles away... up the mountain... I got this card DONE!!!!
Okay this is what it stands for... TLC... to make a card for someone... and then use your favorite techniques... So this card is for my Mom... she said today that she really misses going to the beaches... Cape Cod where she lived for so long... the Jersey beaches, the beaches (rocky but beaches) on the maine coast line... so I got some of the shells that she has picked up over the years... and some sand from my sons my recent trip to Daytona Beach Florida... and put together this for her... using of course my favorite tools...
I also hope you will go to my blog to see the rest of the details etc... thanks a million for all the comments... and hopefully I will get back in here later to make comments...
Also PLEASE take a look at the MMTPT97 challenge tomorrow.. as I will be hosting it.. .it's a fun one... look for it... thanks for everything you all do... Have a fun evening...
Love, light and Peace..Bonnie

I'm with you concerning the Gulf and all that is happening. I cannot stand to think of the damage on the beautiful, white beaches and all the environmental damage. I love going there every year and am just holding my breath thinking what may happen yet. I bet your mom will love getting this wonderful beach card from you. I made a card using that border today to be uploaded later. You are a busy person with all you have going on...but, you keep the beautiful cards coming. I really love this one!

OMGosh Bonnie, this oil spill is affecting everyone from one coast to the other even before the trickling effects are felt at the grocery stores. This is just devine.

I too am crushed by the news of the spill. My hours of collecting seashells and just looking out and feeling awe might be marred for quite some time. Your card is a wonderful tribute - somehow the beach elements are quite melancholy. Beautiful card, and heart touching story.

I find myself thinking of all those poor animals that have been affected and WILL be affected by this horrible oil spill, often. They NEED to make it stop...QUICK! I think it's so beautiful that you have made this for your mother and that you have added such great detail! I'm sure she will just love your beautiful card!

Like wow, Bonnie! What a story and how wonderful to have your mom still with you at age 90! Fabulous card for your mom to remember the good days and times at her favorite beaches.
