This week's TLC on SCS is to get personal, creating a card with someone in mind, using your favorite technique. I immediately thought of my dear friend who loves purple and will be undergoing a difficult chemo process beginning this week. My favorite technique is to incorporate my second passion - quilting and sewing - on my card creations.
This card measures 5 1/4 X 5 1/2 and is mounted on shimmer white CS. The squares are 1 1/4 and mounted on a scant 3 3/4 inch base. One square is cut diagonally twice to create triangle pieces. The base is then mounted on a 4 1/2 inch base to border the quilt block. Another layer 4/3/4 inch is added for the binding. I sewed on a button and added stitching around the perimeter of the quilt block too. Please PM me if more deets are needed!
Great challenge Holly!
Thanks for looking!

Beautiful quilting technique! Your friend will surely appreciate it. My thoughts and prayers are with her. Be sure to let her know that there are many survivors out there (7 yrs for me!) and therefore, keep hope alive. You did a wonderful job!
